Cloud computing architecture and its possibilities: Site Creation

Cloud computing architecture uses multiple components to deliver content or functionality over an application’s user friendly interface. Typically, very little work is performed by the work station or PC – the backend is enhanced by a factor of many times, drawing on the resources of servers and other hardware that are remotely located. An example of a cloud computing service may be a dating web site that allows you to create your own niche service. A Seniors only site may be created by an end user of the site’s easy to use web building technology. This end user would be the client of the site provider, who in turn is creating his own website – all carried out online.

Rather than doing courses in Java, Perl, and HTML, the dating site builder’s customer can use the service, which is – to his or her eyes – a very easily navigable What-You-See-Is-What-You-Get interface to specify how the site should look and dictate terms of membership. An age limit can be set at 65+ through selection from a simple drop down list or text box. Regional and language settings can be chosen via checkboxes. The creator of the new site even has some control over the site’s layout, as well as payment plans for its members. There will be features that allow for the specification of theme and colors, as well as more advanced settings such as an XML editor for those who know what they’re doing. The site creator may stipulate terms and conditions, for example that the site’s members post recent pictures so that they won’t be fooling their fellow daters. These terms and conditions may even be laid out in such a way that the creator can pick and choose from a list.

It’s even easier than the client end WYSIWYG web developer programs that allow you to preview and edit web pages before uploading them. Services such as online web builders will rely on templates and databases that may dictate a generic look and feel; however, enhancements can be made for the sake of originality.
