You may have a great idea for a business, something you think will make you very rich indeed, but you don’t have the marketing strategies to get the right people to buy or the contacts in the right market. You can employ experts in SEO – who may work for the hosting service where the blog is held – to work on this end of things. SEO experts may change the HTML code of a blog in order to raise its profile on search engines. The development of a blog may go hand in hand with getting traffic to it, and it is frequently in the hosting service’s interest to get as many hits to your blog or site as you can. Success for you means success for them. So a site’s very creation and design may employ SEO techniques.

The blog or site must be aesthetically pleasing if this is the case. An ugly site that is painful on the eyes or containing text that is difficult to decipher because of a garish or inappropriate background may not be the most popular. Even if the text itself is rendered in such a way to contain search friendly terms, it won’t draw people who are interested.

Similarly, a site that is easily navigable and user friendly will be more popular than one that is not. An easy to use shopping cart with as many popular payment methods as can be accommodated is one example of a way to draw business to a site. Menus that are unique may not be a great way to draw business. If it takes a user five minutes to ascertain that the menu has to be right- or Ctrl-clicked rather than left-clicked to bring it up, his or her frustration will be raised and you’ll lose business. Think about these things when creating a site or a blog.
