Start up Your Own Webhosting Site!

Ever wanted to start up your own hosting website? Well starting up a business is a lot easier than you think. Now just to clarify I do not mean that buying your own server, renting the network cabling and buying staff is cheap and easy, but reseller hosting is. Reseller hosting allows you to not only become your own hosting provider, but also saves you all the staffing issues by allowing you to use their staff. The reason for this seemingly generous nature is that by selling hosting space, you are filling their empty servers which are producing no income. Low income is better than none is probably the idea…

However, just because it is easy to set up it does not mean it will be so easy to get and keep customers. If you are deciding to become a hosting provider then you need to take a few things into consideration.

Firstly, you need to think about branding, every good company has good branding, think about all the names of hosting providers you can remember. Now think why you remember them, small, easy to say, creates a memorable image in your mind? All of these factors need to be taken into consideration before you go out and start buying hosting.

Secondly, you need to try and find a way of beating off your competitors, as mentioned earlier there are many websites that are offering webhosting at low, low prices, meaning that above branding you will also need to use the correct kind of marketing in order to convince customers that you are the best choice. In order to do this you will need to use an angle, maybe your servers use wind farming energy, or all your servers are UK or US based, these small things can all be used to convince a customer to buy your specific brand of hosting.

Important note; If you do decide to walk this path then you should look at forums and blog sites to see if you can make posts or comments in order to get quick and easy customers.
