What Kind of Hosting is Best for Affiliate Marketers?
Affiliate marketing is basically the act of selling another person’s product or service in order to get a percentage of that price as a reward for getting that sale. Although this might sound complex it is actually really simple and in these times is probably one of the best ways to make money.
So what makes this so good? Well firstly you do not have to handle any of the goods, which means that you do not have to worry about posting or getting addresses wrong, secondly you do not have to deal with the customer beyond the point of selling the item as customer service is all handled by the seller and finally you are able to make money fairly quickly with only a basic webpage and some smart search engine or marketing techniques.
However, when you become a big player on the affiliate marketing scheme you may find that having high traffic and converting websites has made you rethink the idea of having multiple shared hosting accounts, or maybe that’s just me? After having over 60 websites the idea to consolidate all these into one is a tempting idea, however thinking of which hosting to go to next is much more complex in practice then it might at first seem.
When selecting a new hosting provider you need to think of not only there being enough room to accommodate your websites (if you use wordpress than sql database calls and number of tables will be important) but also accommodate the number of visitors you have. In the end you have 2 choices really, VPS or dedicated. Personally I think dedicated hosting should only be used when using VPS is no longer possible, the simple reason being is that it’s cheaper.
In terms of VPS make sure you get a platform that is similar to the ones you are currently using or else you may find yourself getting lost when trying to upload and move your websites.
